Case Study: 1165 Oswestry Air Cadets

Client:

1165 Oswestry Air Cadets are a long established group bringing great activities and a true sense of achievement for many young people in the Oswestry area. The activity list is extensive and allows young people to participate in such amazing things as flying and gliding.

The Cadets not only take part in the activities but are also taught the discipline required to become part of a military organisation and take part in many local events where they provide valuable help and fundraising. They form a vital part of the community and it was Elda Solutions pleasure to be asked to provide them with a web site which we have donated for free.

Objectives:

The Cadets required a modern web site that promoted the good work that they did which would catch the eye of the age group in which they operate.

Details of the activities, events and opportunities needed to be displayed along with a gallery of photographs from previous events. It was also important for the parents to be involved in the web site and information would have to be made available about events and activities via news letters and site content.

Solution:

With an RAF theme in mind we produced a design incorporating aircraft and advanced looking display panels. The end result saw a site that looks modern and appealing to anyone who was or would wish to become an Air Cadet. With the use of the R1 system we were able to add the features that the Cadets required, activities list, photo gallery, calendar and news letters along with an FAQ panel to answer questions for people wishing to join or parents with concerns.

Result:

RAF theme fully functional site with their core needs in mind. Cadets now have a focal point for them and their parents with rich information on activities and upcoming events. We aim to provide the Cadets with our flash forum and categorised photo gallery modules as soon as they become available as photographs of events and achievements are an integral part of the Cadets.
